The depth of events taking place in the area, shows the changes that the subducting plate is subject to. The study map of earthquakes of magnitude larger than 6.0 mw for the last 25 years shows what is happening to the area during this period.
Note that "missing events" in the map may have had taken place before year 2000, however, the magnitud <7.0 mw map for the period 1900 - 2026 does not show them either.
Since the Subducting Plate should be considered as such "a plate" it is fair to suppose that in the long run it will have to be subject to transformation changes all over it. Thus, the missing brush lines in the map should apply.
